Hi my name is Alex Rapine and it’s nice to have you read this.

I would say meet you but only one of us is looking into the soul of the other, currently, but given the chance I would welcome the opportunity to return the favor in person.

I like going to bars and I used to like reading the bar review section in The New Yorker called “Bar Tab.” It was like a 300 word blurb about a different bar each week and they discontinued it in 2018 when whoever it was that was in charge of editing the section quit and went to work somewhere else. I tried reaching out to apply to take the position but as I had no resume with applicable experience and had no one I knew personally to send it to I alas did not succeed in this endeavour. Which is why I have reproduced its spirit here; albeit with a much higher word count. I do not have an editor nor do I need this ever to be printed out.

You may see at the top I have added new sections called “Alex Rapine’s Coffee Talk” and “Alex Rapine’s Nouns.” I will add to those more as time goes on. Coffee Talk is just Bar Tab but for cafes (not restaurants) and Nouns is just nouns so any type of thing that is a noun; which is redundant.
